How we handle your data
Daron Trading Namibia (Pty) Ltd takes the privacy of visitors, clients and suppliers seriously. This page explains what data we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are
This website is operated by Daron Trading Namibia (Pty) Ltd, a Namibian private company with its principal office at No. 31 Grand Avenue, Industrial Area, Walvis Bay, Erongo Region, Namibia. For any privacy matter you can reach us at the contact details in section 6.
2. What data we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to your enquiry or operate the website. Specifically:
- Chat widget: name, email, company (optional), vessel name (optional), WhatsApp number (optional), the messages you send, and the IP address and browser your request came from.
- Contact forms and email enquiries: whatever details you choose to include.
- Standard server logs: IP address, referring URL, user agent, and timestamps — retained briefly for security and debugging.
- We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
3. Why we use it
The data is used only for legitimate business purposes:
- Responding to your enquiry, drafting quotes, and routing your request to the right Daron team member.
- Operating, securing, and improving the website (including abuse prevention and error monitoring).
- Meeting our obligations under Namibian law and, where applicable, the laws of your own jurisdiction.
4. Who processes your data on our behalf
Messages sent to our AI assistant (Don) are processed by Anthropic (Claude) under their enterprise terms — they do not train on your data. Lead notifications may be forwarded to our own Slack or equivalent team channel. Website hosting and analytics are handled by Vercel (EU/US regions). All sub-processors are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you are based, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your data, subject to any legal or contractual obligation requiring us to retain it.
- Withdraw consent at any time for processing that relies on consent (for example, by not using the chat widget).
